Ampersand

Ampersand envisions a world in which we recognize the impact sexual violence has on every individual and every community, and decide as one unit that it’s no longer acceptable. The focus of Ampersand is to support folks who have been impacted by sexual violence, prevent sexual violence from occurring, and to engage the community in changing rape culture.

Arbor Youth Services

Arbor Youth Services’s mission is to end youth homelessness by providing a safe and supportive environment to youth who have suffered abuse, abandonment, or are at risk of victimization.

Their vision is a community where every child and youth has a stable home. The organization does this through various services, including hosting an Emergency Shelter, Outreach Center, Supportive Housing programs and working with Project Safe Place.

C.A.S.A of Lexington

CASA of Lexington’s trained and supervised volunteers advocate through the family court system to ensure all victims of child abuse and neglect are safe and thrive in a permanent home.

CASA advocates are appointed by judges and trained to advocate for the best interests of abused and neglected children. CASA advocates stay involved with each child until that child is placed in a safe, permanent home.

The Child Development Center of the Bluegrass is dedicated to ensuring that all children reach their full potential by collaborating with families and community partners to create the highest quality home and community-based therapy services as well as preschool and child care programs that benefit both children with and without special needs.

For more than 40 years, Chrysalis House has been helping women with substance use disorders through a comprehensive treatment program. Chrysalis specializes in treating pregnant and parenting women through an array of treatment options including residential, recovery housing, outpatient and intensive outpatient services.

Greenhouse17 nonprofit organization committed to ending intimate partner abuse in families and the community. Our shelter in rural Fayette County, Kentucky is surrounded by a beautiful 40-acre property.

New Opportunity School for Women

Appalachian women encounter overwhelming barriers to education, employment, and financial independence that prevent them from using their gifts and abilities to create a stable and rewarding life for themselves, their families, and their communities. New Opportunity School for Women works hand-in-hand with Appalachian women to remove these barriers, one woman at a time, through a unique educational program tailored specifically to meet their needs.

The Nest

The Nest - Center for Women, Children and Families is a local, grassroots nonprofit that provides a safe place for education, counseling and support to Women, Children and Families in crisis in Lexington and surrounding counties. Services include free child care, parenting classes, domestic violence counseling, support and legal advocacy, and family assistance for basic human needs of toiletries, diapers, food and cleaning supplies.

One Parent Scholar House

One Parent Scholar House is a program for single parents who are full-time students in a post-secondary educational institution. The primary purpose of the program is to help parents and their young children develop the educational and family life skills needed to achieve self-sufficiency.

Refuge for Women

Refuge for Women is a non-profit, faith based organization providing specialized long-term care for women who have escaped sex trafficking or sexual exploitation. With multiple locations across the U.S., Refuge for Women offers up to twelve months of safe housing and transitional care and support with round the clock care as clients progress through evidence-based, trauma-informed programming. Refuge for Women strives to help each woman complete the program with a vision for her future, equipped to succeed and sustain a life marked with dignity and hope.
